FAQS - FOR PSYCHOLOGISTS

I ALREADY HAVE A PRIMARY/SECONDARY SUPERVISOR, CAN I STILL ACCESS GROUP SUPERVISION?
Absolutely. Group supervision is for anyone looking to upskill. However, if you want the group supervision hours to count towards your internship program, you'll need to submit a letter to the board showing that your Primary Supervisor has approved the addition of the Group Supervisor to your internship.
I NEED SUPERVISION FOR SOMETHING SPECIFIC, CAN YOU PROVIDE SUPERVISION FOR EVERYTHING?
It is important to understand that a supervisor may not be able to meet all the needs of a supervisee. Should this arise, we will try and support the supervisee to search for a supervisor that can fill those specific areas, to ensure a well-rounded supervision experience.
I'M ALREADY PART WAY THROUGH MY PROGRAM CAN YOU STILL HELP?
Yes. You can access supervision at any point during your program.
WHAT DAYS/TIMES CAN I HAVE SUPERVISION?

HOW DO I PAY FOR SUPERVISION?
An invoice will be sent to you directly after supervision. You then have 7 days to pay the invoice.
If your employer agrees to pay for all or a portion of supervision, then this can be arranged too.
CAN YOU HELP TO MEET MY ASSESSMENT COMPETENCIES?
We are able to provide supervision support for assessment competencies on a case-by-case basis. Please feel free to get in touch with SAGE Psychology & Education to discuss your assessment needs and goals.
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED SUPERVISION?
The frequency of supervision varies depending on whether you are part of an Internship/Program or Generally Registered.
Most programs require a 17.5:1 ratio, which means for every 17.5 hours of psychological practice, you must engage in 1 hour of supervision.

DO YOU PROVIDE ANY TRAINING?
We are currently developing our 2025 training calendar for psychologists. This calendar will include training in assessments such as the Autism Diagnostic and Observation Schedule (ADOS).
